Since the 2012/2013 winter semester, CLAAS has also been supporting students from various universities and courses as part of the Deutschlandstipendium. Our aim is to support outstanding students and to give young junior employees more freedom – in other words, to provide them with the best conditions to complete their degree in a focused and successful manner. The Deutschlandstipendium from CLAAS is intended to be an award that recognises the students achievements, and should provide motivation for their future career path.

Alongside the financial support, it is particularly important for us to provide our scholarship holders with the perfect kind of encouragement. Doing so, each scholar is paired with a mentor who can supportively answer any specialist, future-oriented or career questions they may have. It is not carved in stone whether the mentoring scheme will result in an internship or a different kind of collaboration.

The scholarship is awarded to foreign students for good academic performance and social commitment. The scholarship holders are nominated by professors from specialist departments.

Therefore, CLAAS provides female students specialized in mechanichal engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering and renewable energies first insights into the job and working life. Experienced female CLAAS mentors prepare the students for their transition from university to work.
The project is based on the positive experience, that was gained during the "Kompetenzwerkstatt MINT-Frauen in OWL" which is a triennial project set up by the non-profit associations "Initiative für Beschäftigung OWL e.V.", "Kompetenzzentrum Technik-Diversity-Chancengleichheit e.V." and "OWL MASCHINENBAU e.V.".

As well as undertaking studies in economics at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, students must show excellent academic performance, a period spent working or studying abroad and activities in the Economics and Health Faculty in order to take part in the programme. CLAAS has been a project partner from the very beginning. For CLAAS, supporting the programme as a partner and highlighting and offering career prospects for particularly talented students goes without saying.

Every semester, a careers day is held at the Economics Faculty in order to admit new students to the programme.

STUNT e.V. is a student consulting group in Bielefeld. Since 2001, they unite motivated and achievement-orientated students of Bielefeld’s universities. Students of different facilities like economics, business administration, social sciences, law and information technology offer numerous regional consultancy projects. Hereby they are able to connect theory and practical experience during their studies. While taking over responsibility and extending their managerial competences, they are being prepared for their professional future.
Among seminars they participate in routinely workshops in cooperation with the economy. Moreover STUNT publishes the corporate morale study (“Geschäftsklimastudie”) for East-Westphalia-Lippe.
