CLAAS has built 2008 a facility near Chandigarh. Situated 300 km north of New Delhi, this factory is coming up directly in the heart of the most fertile agricultural area of Northern India. With a capacity of approx. 900 combine harvesters, this factory mainly produces the CROP TIGER. Fitted with TERRA TRAC rubber tracks the CROP TIGER is very much suitable for wet paddy conditions and therefore very successful in South India, Sri Lanka, South Corea and other South East Asian countries. The CROP TIGER wheel is mostly operated in dry land conditions like in North India and in countries in Middle East and Africa.
